I know the author of this book personally, the book was delightful to read as I know a lot of the people who he talked about in the book, stars and executives of the Hotel. I escorted many of the stars to back stage for rehearsals and sound checks, to the restaurants and back to their suites. I will always cherish the time spent at the Hotel and my friendship with Dominic Parisi too.Product details

Everything I thought it would be I've been going to Las Vegas since mid 70 and it was nice to read about some of things I did when I was there and I've a bunch of nights at the Las Vegas Hilton.
This book is great! I received it on Monday and finished it within 2 days! I couldn't get enough of the interesting stories about Vegas, Elvis, etc.
I finished the last page thinking, "I want to know more."

Great recollection of author's long decades of hotel service experience with his interaction with many well-known people. Interesting read.
Knowing the author and know the history of the LVH and the Las Vegas Hilton plus the staff. This is a true to life story and very entertaining especially to hear most of it first hand. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the REAL Vegas!
He talked about Elvis from 40 years ago while the author was a room service waiter. The rest of the book is about D rated celebrities such as Olivia Newton John and Barry Mannilow. Not very exciting. Nothing special here.
If you are interested in the history of Vegas and the performers that shaped the mystique of the city, you will love this book! Lots of interesting stories from someone who lived it. We are going back to Vegas soon and we are looking forward to seeing it through different eyes, having read this book.
Read carefully. If you're looking for a lot of information on just Elvis, you won't find it. There is maybe 2 chapters, he was polite, considerate, went out of his way to say hi... but many other people are talked about, maybe more.
